High in flavanols

A good cacao bean is one of the richest sources of flavanols, a group of polyphenols. We picked the variety, farmers and processes to maximise them.

Grown in Peru, where cacao began

Grown by farmers we know. Cacao first grew wild in the upper Amazon: genetic studies point to Peru as its birthplace, and it is home to the most cacao varieties in the world. For our cacao, we use the Chuncho variety from the Cusco region in Peru. We source it directly from farmers who are committed to producing high-quality cacao.

“Our goal is to bring you one of the healthiest cacaos you can find. We spent months trying to understand what makes cacao healthy, and which steps from tree to pouch influence the quality of cacao. Then we went looking for the farmers who would make it in a way that maximises its health properties.”
